Long handles...yes the cups are more wide than deep (trying to get used to that)...and they are heavyweight, stainless steel...but - I find dry foods kind of "stick" to these weird "ridges" on the inside / no one has mentioned that and I have to take special care to wipe them out afterward - more so than with smooth stainless/they are not smooth on the inside/bottom. That's as good as I can explain it. - The larger cups balance on their own when empty without their handles tipping/touching - back to the counter but the others do not. This may not be a big deal to you - but I thought there would be that consistency there meaning when empty all the handles would stay elevated off the counter, not all of them do...and I get annoyed with some tipping back on their handles when empty...is that just me? I have to stack them all into the 1 cup to keep them from doing that...but they do stack nicely. I like the sizes...this really... The first was fantastic - very nice, heavy duty, well made. I don't like that the interior surface is brushed rather than polished but they are nice. I just purchased set #2 and found that the smallest 4 cups are now made of a material that is approximately 1/2 the thickness of the larger 3 cups. These smaller cups are now kind of flimsy. What a disappointment. I bought these because of their solid construction - and now these are not much better than the cheapies at the local big-box store. I would not spend more than $15 for this set now. They are well made (three point welds attach the handles - Calphalon uses 2)), nest nicely so I can hang them all on the same hook, and are quite attractive... If there is a downside, it's that they are a little wider and shallower than I prefer (the Calphalon cups will nest inside their equivalents), so I knocked them down a bit.. My normal measuring spoons go down to 1/4 tsp but I needed to go smaller. After getting these, I measured how much these actually are, and found out that these spoon set is: 1/8tsp, 1/16tsp, 1/32tsp, and 1/64 which is wonderful for extending my normal spoon set to finer measurements. I was afraid that the actual measurements would be strange, but they are perfect. The quality of these is very nice, not up to the quality of my all-clad spoons, but much better than you would expect for $6. Great deal, pick these up today! I wish they were labeled with the actual measurements instead of cutesy "drop" and "pinch" because those labels don't do me much good. I remember the measurements but I always second guess myself so I had to make a chart that I keep with the spoons. They are nice and sturdy and easy to clean. I knocked off a star because of the useless labels.
