Golden. I purchased it anyway and with that in mind, loosened the top when heating. Perfect. No problems. Just consider that when you heat something, it expands and puts pressure on the top to push up, making it tighten more. That's all.It is handy, spoon is convenient, is perfect size for a good lunch, and the little handle makes it easy to drink. 32 of 38 people found the following review helpful  Made from POLYPROPYLENE, This review is from: Stay Fit Soup/Meal Container , EZ Heat (Kitchen) I bought this product, then noticed how cheap the plastic looked, which concerned me, so I called the manufacturer and asked if it was BPA free. While the product is BPA free, it is made of polypropylene (as are all of the Stay-Fit products), which has been classified of moderate health concern, and according to the Environmental Working Group, there is "strong evidence" that it is a human immune system toxicant, and "expected to be toxic or harmful" to various organs. He has sandwiches every day and I wanted to send soup to work with him. I asked after the first day how hot his soup stayed and he replied "If I or anyone else around me could've opened it I would've been able to tell you". And for the life of me, it took me a day to get that container opened - only after taking a sharp knife to it. Good to know that the container was sealed well, but you kind of need to be able to open it to make it a useful product. I had read on another website about this issue but had already bought it and low and behold, happened to us too. My recommendation? Invest in a Thermos, we did and works great. |
