Reviews for other scoops claim they have issues breaking at a weld joining the handle and scoop or the handles bend easily. While I have no experience with those scoops, it would take some serious abuse to do the same to the Norpro scoop.The Norpro scoop, as far as I can tell is one solid piece. There is no noticeable seam or welds anywhere. The handle is robust and does not bend easily. It does deflect when I intentionally try and bend it, but that constitutes abuse of the product. I've used the end of the handle to open tins of tea no problem. The back of the handle is stamped 2 Tablespoons so there is never any doubt the measure of the scoop. The handle is about 8in and easily reaches the bottom of coffee bags. Eight scoops does equal one cup so the 2 Tbsp marking is accurate. The Norpro scoop has minimal packaging. First of all, it's long, long enough to get down to the last of the coffee in the bottom of the bag. It's also a 2 tablespoon scoop which is perfect for my bolder brewed coffee. It's not flimsy, but strong and weighty, made of stainless steel; appears to be stamped so no danger of the bowl becoming separated from the handle. It has a hole at the end of the handle if you need to hang it on a wall or cupboard hook. I order a lot from Amazon, so I used Amazon Prime and got this in one day with free shipping.Another reviewer mentioned this: on the cardboard insert that the scoop was attached, it says use '1 Tbsp scoop per 8 oz.' Since this is made in China (like most things these days) I would imagine that may be a translated error, unless you like really weak coffee.
