It's a beautiful wooden spoon, well made, and quite functional considering it's shaped like a heart. I use it often and love the way it scoops up lots of food to dish out. Also, my guests love it and always comment on it. I am very disappointed!! The spoons are adorable, but who wants to give gifts with defects?? The packaging around the spoons was perfect. The problem is obvious. Someone allowed the spoons to leave the factory in China in less than perfect condition. Bad quality control.
